SimpleMind − Mind Mapping App Reviews

I’m a lecturer and I found out about this app a few months ago. Now I use it to map my findings and then structure my articles. It is a very handy and friendly-user app. I stongly recommend it to those who, like myself, are a bit messy when it is about to organise their thinking.

Great tool for mind map <3

Useful application to organize ideas and to map projects

Love your app, but lack this important abilities: - To choose the level size; - To make multiple connections to 1 item; - To colapse/expand branches; - To only move a branch, without rotating it; - To select where the connections are made in items boxes; - To save as’ on my HD (private/off-line mode). Many of them are on the paid version, but it will be easier to compare if grayed out on this free one. Thanks

Really practical Amazing functions Recommend

Very easy to use. Makes creating a digital mind map almost as simple and natural as physically drawing one. You can do all of it with your hands on the keyboard through intuitive shortcuts, leading to a dynamic creative process, and the resulting mind maps look great.

I was looking for a mindmap tool and could not believe I will find a tool as easy to use and to comprehend like this one. I will recommend anyone to get it for making notes, brainstorming or even gathering your facts together. Great stuff

Finally a clear and simple mind-mapping software for mac. Use it regularly, but a few missing are missing, at least for me personally. 1. If I adjust the position of any topic, due to make it look more structual or cleaner, it’s childtopics don’t go with the parent topic. So, in order to adjust the topic group as a whole, I have to adjust every individual element - that’s annoying. 2. I don’t know if it is possible but I’d appreciate it to connect one topic with two others, giving more structual freedom. Of course, it has some problems here and there, but you never start perfectly, you have to start to become perfect. Apart from that it is gorgeous. Christian

I simply love this app - used it so much already and I only have it for about a week. It really helps to get an overview and structure thoughts. I would highly recomment it :)

This is a simple, easy-to-use und good tool. However - Mind Mapping means developing ideas. So you don’t know in advance, how your mind map will look like. Consequently, remodeling the landscape must be an easy task. It isn’t with this tool. It doesn’t allow to move entire nodes and sub-nodes around. So you have to touch each and every bubble separately, whilst your mind map looks like crap in between. Very confusing and very time stealing. This needs to be changed asap. Then I’d give 4-5 stars.

absolutely wonderful, this program is minimalistic and very useful. it’s flexible and has decent features like a comment function. thanks to the dev(s) for this app, for my needs it’s perfect. give it a try if you look for an minimalistic mind map to work on ideas.

Cool Design ideas - easy, fast results. What a shame that the free version doesn’t offer print outs :( But with a screenshot one can overcome these problems.

One of my favorite business apps

There are other apps trying to do basically the same thing. But SimpleMind seems to be designed more carefully. As a result there are three things that I like about it: 1.) it can be used very intuitively, 2.) it just looks good, 3.) it’s fun to work with!

frequently, mouse or trackpad commands do not work correctly. Practically, one can not work with it.

Helpfull and easy

It works, it’s easy to use. But in meantime, a programme should be able to set up the preference language from the OSX, i. e. German.
